Marsa LNG bunkering hub

TotalEnergies (80%) and Oman-owned OQ Alternative Energy (20%) are developing the first LNG bunkering hub in the Middle East. LNG production is expected to commence in the Q1 2028, with the primary objective of catering to the marine fuel market in the Gulf region. Surplus LNG will be off-taken by TotalEnergies and OQ Alternative Energy.
Draugen oil field upgrade

Several projects are underway to extend the life of the Draugen oil field into the 2040s. Operator OKEA is working with Aker Solutions on electrification of the oil field, replacing the current gas turbine power generator with shore-based electric power. The project development is expected to be completed in 2026.
Trans Mountain pipeline expansion

The controversial, long-delayed expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline between Edmonton, Alberta, and Burnaby, British Columbia, began commercial operations in May 2024. The expansion added 980km to the existing 1,150km pipeline, which has been in operation since 1953, allowing it to carry an additional 600,000 barrels per day of oil.
