AOG Energy 2024 in Review: Navigating the Energy Transition 

The curtains have closed on yet another successful chapter of AOG Energy, Australia's premier energy event, held from March 13th to 15th, 2024, at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre. With over 7000 attendees converging to shape the future of the energy landscape, this year's event was a testament to the industry's resilience, innovation, and commitment to driving sustainable growth. 

AOG Energy stands as more than just an event; it's a nexus for collaboration, learning, and networking across the entire energy value chain. With the support of key partners and sponsors like the Western Australian government, Subsea Energy Australia, Woodside, Chevron, CODA, City of Perth, and IBM, AOG Energy continues to serve as a platform for fostering meaningful conversations and unlocking commercial opportunities both domestically and globally. 

The anticipation surrounding AOG Energy 2024 was palpable, with attendees eager to explore the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities shaping the energy sector. The event's focus on the energy transition was evident, with discussions spanning topics such as wind energy, gas's role in the transition, decarbonization, hydrogen, CCS, decommissioning, technology, project optimisation, and the future of the workforce. 

The introduction of new features and programs added an extra layer of excitement to this year's event. From networking programs and site visits for international delegates to the launch of the Next Generation Program in partnership with Engineers Australia, Energy Club WA, and AREEA, AOG Energy continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of the industry. The increased international presence, with delegations and pavilions from countries such as Scotland, Alberta, Japan, Timor Leste, Indonesia, UK, and Norway, further underscored the event's global significance. 

Throughout the three-day event, attendees were treated to a plethora of engaging sessions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities. The Future of Energy Forum emerged as a standout, with discussions often overflowing and sparking lively debates on the industry's trajectory. The Chevron Forward Work Plans session garnered significant interest, drawing a full house in Ballroom 2 and facilitating valuable business relationships. 

The Scottish Pavilion offered a unique experience with whisky tasting, adding a touch of culture to the event and fostering cross-cultural exchanges. Meanwhile, the exhibition floor buzzed with activity as over 270 companies showcased their latest innovations, solutions, and services, spanning smart tech, engineering solutions, asset integrity, and more. 

As the curtains fall on AOG Energy 2024, the industry looks forward to the future with optimism and anticipation.
